Great Meetings

I have been encouraged the past few days attending a number wonderful meetings where Atlanta's organizations are working collaboratively - so I thought I would share the wealth in case anybody else is interested in attending.

For those of you working in downtown Atlanta proper, Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) hosts a wonderful Marketing Roundtable the first Wednesday of each month- attendees include restaurateurs, hotel folks, arts folks, pr folks - you name it. Everybody shares what their respective organizations are doing and it is a great chance to network with the people who make downtown Atlanta a place to visit. Contact Lynn Williamson for more info if you are interested.

I also was exposed to the Metro Atlanta Cultural Group Sales Network today. This is a group of cultural institutions that collaborate to host an expo to highlight their group sales offerings to patrons looking for group discounts (teachers, tour group leaders, senior groups, alumni groups, etc) Looking for group ticket sales? Check out www.hot-ticket.blogspot.com.

For those of you working in membership at an arts organization, your colleagues want to hear from you! Email me for more information. PS the meeting was at Zoo Atlanta, the lion cubs are pretty incredible, you should check them out!

Finally, you can always attend a MAACC Arts Marketing Roundtable which provides arts organization representatives with a person-to-person forum to share best practices and discuss topics in arts marketing. We meet the second Monday of every month at 10 am. Email me if you would like to be added to our list.

Best,
N
